So good, they gave me three first names

And so I have a blog.

As you 'hopefully' well know, I have been a nomadic guest blogger and freelance hoops columnist for several months now. The declining cost of virtual real estate notwithstanding, I thought it would only be appropriate to construct a space of my own.

Welcome to my new home! Please keep your sneakers on, it's all about hoops.

Here you'll find informative and entertaining material on NYC basketball - including the Entertainer's Basketball Classic at Rucker Park where I serve as Director of Sponsorships & Business Development - and all other levels and aspects of the game.

Speaking of the latter, I hope that you had an opportunity to read my series of Fun Facts about three NBA teams - Hornets, Jazz, and Cavs - last week on ESPN The Magazine's site. You can plan on seeing interviews, opinions, game recaps, news stories, and commentaries right here.

So bookmark this blog, email to a friend/colleague or add the RSS feed. If you have any ideas/feedback for the site or if you would like to contribute, don't hesitate to contact me. Comments are always highly welcomed.

Yours in hoops,

Peter Robert Casey

PS: If you noticed the shift to a more formal name, it's not to appear smarter than I actually am. Rather, Peter Casey - producer/writer of Frasier, Cheers, Wings, etc. - already made the name famous and dominates the Google search engine. Plus, a somewhat-famous Aussie musician owns the rights to www.petercasey.com through 10/2010. Generic names make personal branding a challenge.
